cutting the lawn is one of my 
favourite tasks. How often do you have to cut the lawn?

It really depends on how much rain we get. If it rains regularly, like once a week, I have to cut it once a week. We haven't had any measurable rain now for about 2 weeks, so I haven't cut it in two weeks. It takes me about 2 1/2 hours to do it.
Wow, what a big garden ... I cut my lawn yesterday - it took about half an hour all inclusve

Mine about every 2 weeks. I contract for it and he uses big mowers and it looks good. I used to love to cut my own but had to give it up after an injury. The smell and the sense of satisfaction are great.
I don't do it..but my hubby mows it every other week..I don't know what kind of grass it is (I'm guessing Kentucky Bluegrass since I got the seed bags years ago, if he's used others, I'm not aware of it)..but with the less frequent summer rains, it doesn't require much more cutting than that.
