Russia got the best painters

I am kind of new at this forum. But I have a passion for paintings and I am an avid student of the fine arts myself. :-)
I searched and looked at artists paintings around the globe, but the paintings by the Russian artists is absolutely fantastic.

to hermanusp: yeah, you are right, Russian school of painting is very distinctive and expressive. What favourites Russian artists do you have?
There are two the best for me: Konstantin Korovin and Sergei Gerasimov
and in english there you can also find information about another Russian painters

Tis not my popcorn, it's tan_n's. She left it on the bench in the park and i found the first it looks like almost new and quite eatable...
