The God Delusion

Has any one read this book?i am about half way through it and i must say it a very fascinating and insightful read,as soon as i have this book read i am definatley going to read another of Dawkins books-the selfish gene.whats youre opinions of this book?

Well-written, as sharp as always. Completely different from The Selfish Gene and most of his other works, though.

Like the Bible it's a good read and an interesting story... little more than pulp fiction for the masses who are interested in reading what they want to hear to bolster their already well formed beliefs. But it's not a book that will change people's views, and in that sense it's a failed experiment.

Story, it has a story, maybe for the AUSIE print run the publishers added a storyline who knows.

I found it interesting, but a little repetative...

Visiting the Converts' Corner on Prof. Dawkins' website will show you that's not the case. Failed experiment? Far from it. Of course it won't convince those who have "well-formed beliefs," who have decided to believe against all odds and evidence. But that's not quite enough to make it a failed experiment.
