Been reading more British papers lately and they very well villify Mr.Brown and im wondering why at least from the perspective from you guys. What's so wrong with Brown? Is he too much like Blair? Or does he talk more than he acts?

He was good at what he did before (chancellor) but i don't think he makes a very good prime minister. Anyway, i find it incredibly difficult to get into his politics sometimes, because he's such a boring speaker, appears to have no personality or charm, and he basically just sends me to sleep. I have no faith in any MP or party anyway.

He's taken on a position previously filled by some one who had charisma...and was generally succesful...so naturally he won't be painted in the same light so to speak.

He was good at his last job...he is not good as a Prime Minister. He has screwed up royally and I don't trust him. But...there isnt anyone else I would prefer in power either.
Blair should have stayed longer....I never had a problem with him unlike others.

He’s just a stop gap Scot to keep the seat warm until labour once again wander the political wilderness…..

I just cant wait until the Whitehall Scot’s rule of England comes to an end and they bugger off back north of the border……

Bet you never thought I was a labour supporter……. Very happy

I think the majority of his actions and policies are reactionary: that might have worked in his old job, but that approach will not work as Prime Minister! Well, it won't work for long anyway. Wink

I'd say vote for the party and not the people.
But the vast majority of the party are complete tools.

Hi

I think Gordon Brown has fallen into a trap....Tony Blair started most of the problems we are facing in England at the moment and Brown has been left with the task of trying to sort them out....unsuccessfully i might add.

Most people are struggling to make ends meet with all the taxation and rising costs, and unfortunately most of our MP's are so out of touch with todays society they are just burying their heads in the sand so to speak.

Gordon Brown was also the Chancellor...so what does that tell you?
In hindsight...banks like Northern Rock shouldn't have bought up American debt.

I think it is shocking how everyone is slagging off Gordon Brown - since when did anyone have to look cool and have charisma? surely its the job he does that matters? and those of you who say he does a crap job - was he the one who stupidly left important files on that train? did he do a rain dance and bring all the floods? was he solely responsible for the credit cruch? i watched gmtv one morning and they were having a right laugh at his expense - yet if that was in the workplace or playground then people would be told off for that behaviour - and yes- the job he does does involve a lot of slaggin - but why isnt it about the job he does instead of how he looks etc? i think the fact that he is scottish has something to do with it - and so what if his wife isnt wearing the latest trends? she's a mother for god sake, and people forget that their baby died not so long ago, give the guy a break, and if your gonna slag him off, do it about the job he is (or isnt)doing

Of course being scottish has something to do with it. He has a distinct accent. People pick up on it and think "scottish ****". That doesn't justify it.

You do need a certain amount of charisma. He doesn't appear like he is enjoying the position he has. It conveys negative feelings to the public who begin to wonder whether his heart is in the right place.

Like I've already stated he is unlucky to have replaced T Blair.

They are not like for like.

He should not be pm. You do need charisma and any man who goes on holiday and wears a full suit or every day o it is not the guy I want as our pm. At least David Cameron can relax a little more.
